A week after he quit Rajya Sabha, Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday broke his silence and targeted the BJP for asking him to stay away from Punjab to serve "personal interests" but continued to keep everyone guessing on his next move, including whether he will join AAP or other Party.
Is he wanted to be AAP’s chief ministerial candidate? He said his priority had always been Punjab. “I have no wish for any post, but I will not break the trust of those who made me an MP.” BJP’s Punjab president Vijay Sampla has said the party had not received Mr. Sidhu's resignation still.

AAP MLA from Delhi's Okhla constituency & chairman of the Delhi Waqf board Amanatullah Khan, arrested after a woman alleged that he tried to mow her down after she visited his residence to raise the issue of power cuts, was today sent to one day's police custody by a court.

World leaders are expressing dismay, sadness and solidarity with France over the attack carried out by a man who drove truck into crowds of people celebrating France's national day in Nice, 84 people killed.
Among those condemning the attack and expressing sympathy for the victims were Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, South Korean President Park Geun-hye, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, and Australia's Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

Mr. Naik's speeches are aired on ‘Peace TV’, run by his Mumbai-based Islamic Research Foundation Which Britain and Canada have banned while Malaysia banned his lectures fearing that they could instigate inter-racial tensions.

Lionel Messi Missed the Goal...
The footballer and his father were found guilty of three counts of tax fraud in Wednesday's ruling by the court in Barcelona. As well as the jail terms, Messi was fined about €2m and his father €1.5m. They made a voluntary €5m "corrective payment", equal to the alleged unpaid tax plus interest, in August 2013. The sentence can be appealed against via the Spanish supreme court.
FC Barcelona club considers that the player, who has corrected his position with the Spanish tax office,is in no way criminally responsible with regards to the facts underlined in this case.

7th Pay Commission
With central government employees rebutting the 7th Pay Commission's recommendations and demanding modifications in the entry level pay and fitment factor, the government on July 6 announced the high-level committee to look into the demand of the government employees.
As per media reports, the government may not be able to meet the demand of Rs 26,000 as the minimum salary demanded by the unions, but may agree to increase the minimum salary to Rs 20,000.
